31"x27" (79x69cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 24x20 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 31x27 inches (787x685mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases a Chelsea large fluted circular dish adorned with an exquisite painting depicting three peasants engrossed in a game of marbles. Inspired by Teniers Le Jeu de la Gobille, this ceramic masterpiece was created by an anonymous English artist during the 18th century. The dish's shape and size command attention, making it a striking addition to any kitchenware collection. The image captures the essence of poverty and social issues prevalent during that era. The destitute peasants find solace in their simple game, momentarily escaping their hardships. This artwork serves as a poignant social commentary on the struggles faced by the lower class in Great Britain at that time. The decorative technique employed on this dish is truly remarkable; every brushstroke brings life to the scene, showcasing the talent and skill of both the British and Flemish artists involved in its creation. The fluted edges add an elegant touch to this otherwise humble object, elevating it from mere crockery to a work of art. Displayed against a neutral background in this studio shot photograph, all focus remains on the intricate details of this single object. Its historical significance cannot be overlooked, representing not only European artistry but also cultural exchange between England and Flanders. With its rich history and artistic value, this Chelsea large fluted circular dish stands as a testament to human resilience amidst adversity while simultaneously serving as an aesthetic delight for admirers of fine ceramics.
