17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

Francesco Tapia, Conte del Vasto, with his Family - A Glimpse into Aristocratic Life in 17th Century Italy

EDITORS COMMENTS
. This print captures an exquisite oil painting by Wolfgang Heimbach from the 17th century. Titled "Francesco Tapia, Conte del Vasto, with his Family seated in an interior of the Palazzo" it offers a fascinating glimpse into the opulent world of Italian aristocracy. The painting showcases five individuals - Francesco Tapia, the esteemed Count of Vasto, along with his family members. They are depicted sitting in a lavish interior of their palatial residence. The scene is adorned with intricate baroque details and vibrant colors that bring life to this remarkable artwork. In the background, one can catch a breathtaking view of Castello di Sant Elmo, adding depth and grandeur to the composition. The fortress-like structure stands as a testament to Italy's rich history and architectural marvels. The attire worn by each family member reflects the fashion trends prevalent during this period. Delicate lace embellishments adorn women's garments while men exude masculinity through their elegant attire. This portrait not only highlights familial bonds but also provides insight into societal structures and nobility during that era. It serves as a reminder of Europe's cultural heritage and its influence on art movements throughout history. Displayed at Rafael Valls Gallery in London, this masterpiece continues to captivate viewers today as it did centuries ago. Its timeless beauty transports us back to an age where elegance and refinement reigned supreme within noble households across Europe.
