17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This photo print, titled "Settlement on a rocky shore with the Dutch fleet approaching, 1640" takes us back in time to an era of naval conquest and bustling coastal communities. Painted by Abraham Willaerts, this masterpiece captures the essence of a Dutch settlement bracing itself for the arrival of their own fleet. As we gaze upon this scene, our eyes are drawn to the majestic warships sailing towards the shore. The galleons stand tall and proud, their sails billowing in anticipation of what lies ahead. The townspeople have gathered at the water's edge, eagerly awaiting their return. Nestled amidst rugged rocks and crashing waves, we see a quaint fishing village come to life. Fishermen diligently cast their nets into the sea while others prepare their boats for another day's work. A charming inn stands nearby, offering respite and refreshments to weary sailors. The atmosphere is charged with excitement as troops from the Dutch army make preparations for landing. Cannon barrels peek out from behind fortifications while rigging dances in harmony with ocean breezes. This settlement thrives on its maritime connections - it is a place where land meets sea and commerce flourishes. Willaerts' painting not only showcases his artistic prowess but also transports us back to a time when coastal settlements relied on fishing as both sustenance and livelihoods. It serves as a reminder of our rich maritime history and how these shores were once bustling hubs of activity that shaped nations. Through this print captured
