23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases the magnificent Imperial and Royal Crowns of Europe in all their regal glory. The colour lithograph, created by an English School artist in the 20th century, beautifully captures the intricate details and opulence of these historic symbols. Displayed against a rich background, each crown exudes its own unique charm and character. From the ornate embellishments to the shimmering gemstones adorning them, every element speaks to the grandeur associated with royalty. These crowns are not just mere accessories but powerful representations of authority and sovereignty. The image is taken from "The Art of Heraldry" by Arthur Charles Fox-Davies, published in 1904. It serves as a visual testament to centuries-old traditions and customs that have shaped European history. As we gaze upon this print, we are transported back in time to an era where knights donned armorial crests on their shields and kings ruled with absolute power. Beyond their aesthetic appeal, these crowns also symbolize unity among nations across Europe. They represent a shared heritage steeped in tradition and honor. Each crown tells its own story - stories of conquests won or lost, dynasties risen or fallen. This print is a true masterpiece that celebrates both artistry and history. It reminds us of our collective past while inspiring awe for the craftsmanship that went into creating such exquisite pieces of royal insignia.
