17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

The Cliffs at Sainte-Adresse; La Falaise de Saint Adresse, 1873
EDITORS COMMENTS
is a captivating oil painting by Claude Monet that beautifully captures the essence of the French coastline. Painted in 1873, this impressionistic masterpiece showcases Monet's mastery in depicting natural landscapes and his unique ability to capture the play of light and color. The painting measures 54x71 cm and is currently held in a private collection. It portrays the stunning cliffs of Sainte-Adresse, located in Normandy, France. The absence of any human figures allows viewers to fully immerse themselves in the serene beauty of nature. Monet's brushstrokes create an ethereal atmosphere as he skillfully depicts the changing tides crashing against the rocky shoreline. The vibrant hues used by Monet bring life to every element within the composition - from the deep blues of the sea to the warm tones illuminating both sky and land. This artwork exemplifies Impressionism, a movement that sought to capture fleeting moments and impressions rather than rigidly defined details. Through his loose brushwork and emphasis on capturing light effects, Monet transports us into this picturesque coastal scene. "The Cliffs at Sainte-Adresse; La Falaise de Saint Adresse" serves as a testament to Monet's talent for translating nature onto canvas with unmatched precision. This late nineteenth-century masterpiece continues to inspire art enthusiasts worldwide with its timeless beauty and evocative portrayal of one of France's most breathtaking coastlines.
