23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print captures the essence of Ireland's rich history and breathtaking beauty. Standing proudly against a backdrop of clear blue skies, Dunguaire Castle emerges as a testament to the country's architectural marvels. Built in 1520 by the O Hynes clan on the shores of Galway Bay, this castle holds within its walls centuries worth of stories and legends. Its name pays homage to Guaire, King of Connaught, who ruled these lands over a thousand years ago before his passing in 662 AD. As one gazes upon this majestic structure, it is impossible not to be transported back in time and imagine the lives that once thrived within its stone walls. The European influence is evident in every intricate detail of its design - from the sturdy turrets that reach towards the heavens to the elegant archways that beckon visitors inside. The vibrant green landscape surrounding Dunguaire Castle adds an extra layer of enchantment to this already mesmerizing scene. Hugh Rooney's skillful capture perfectly encapsulates Ireland's unique blend of natural beauty and historical significance. It serves as a reminder that even amidst modernity, there are still places where time seems to stand still – where ancient tales whisper through every gust of wind and where castles like Dunguaire continue to inspire awe and wonder for generations to come.
