23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print by Stephen Rafferty captures the essence of Belfast's modern art scene on Donegall Place. The artwork, part of the Streets Ahead Project, pays homage to the iconic White Star Line ships built in Belfast by Harland and Wolff. As one gazes at this image, they are transported into a bustling cityscape filled with urban energy. The sculpture featured in the photograph stands tall and proud, its sleek design symbolizing progress and innovation. Its presence amidst a backdrop of shops and busy shoppers adds an intriguing contrast between tradition and contemporary culture. Belfast's rich architectural heritage is also showcased in this snapshot. The blend of old-world charm with modern aesthetics creates a unique visual experience for both locals and visitors alike. The mast-like structures that adorn the artwork serve as a reminder of Belfast's maritime history, particularly its connection to the famous Titanic - another masterpiece crafted by Harland and Wolff. As we delve deeper into this image, we can almost feel ourselves becoming part of the vibrant crowd that fills these streets. It is through photographs like these that we gain insight into the soul of a city - its people, their passions, and their collective appreciation for artistry. Stephen Rafferty has skillfully captured not just an artistic installation but also encapsulated Belfast's spirit within his lens. This print serves as a testament to Ireland's capital as it continues to evolve while honoring its past achievements in shipbuilding and embracing contemporary creativity.
