23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

Capturing the Timeless Beauty of Palmyra - A Glimpse into Syria's Rich History

EDITORS COMMENTS
. In this photo print, renowned photographer Michele Falzone takes us on a visual journey to the ancient city of Palmyra in Syria. The image showcases the breathtaking ruins of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, specifically highlighting the Valley of Tombs and its majestic Burial Chambers towers. As we gaze upon the desert landscape, our eyes are drawn to the remnants of Roman architecture that once thrived in this historic Middle Eastern city. These ruins stand as a testament to Palmyra's significance along the Silk Road, an important trade route connecting East and West during ancient times. The photograph evokes a sense of wonder and awe as we imagine Queen Zenobia reigning over this magnificent Roman town centuries ago. The elevated view allows us to appreciate both the grandeur of these structures and their integration with nature – sand dunes stretching towards distant mountains. Falzone's lens captures not just physical remains but also whispers from history itself. This archaeological site holds stories untold, waiting for curious travelers like ourselves to unravel their mysteries. It serves as a reminder that despite turmoil and destruction, cultural heritage endures through photographs like these. This stunning print invites us to explore travel destinations beyond borders while honoring Syria's rich past. Through MF's lens, we can admire Palmyra's beauty from afar and appreciate its place among humanity’s shared history.
