17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print captures a historic moment in time - "The Big Four at Versailles, France during the Peace Treaty of 1919 at the end of World War One". The image showcases four influential leaders who played pivotal roles in shaping the post-war world. From left to right, we see David Lloyd George, Vittorio Emanuele Orlando, Georges Benjamin Clemenceau, and Thomas Woodrow Wilson. These men were not merely heads of state; they were architects of peace and visionaries for a better future. Their portraits exude determination and gravity as they engage in crucial talks that would shape the fate of nations. Each leader brought their unique perspective to the table, representing their respective countries' interests while striving for a harmonious resolution. The setting itself adds significance to this photograph. Versailles symbolizes grandeur and power but also serves as a reminder of past conflicts that ravaged Europe. Here, amidst opulent surroundings, these leaders sought to establish lasting peace after years marked by unimaginable destruction. "The Big Four" became synonymous with unity among allies during WWI - an alliance forged through shared sacrifice and common goals. This portrait immortalizes their commitment towards rebuilding shattered societies and preventing future global conflicts. Ken Welsh's masterful capture transports us back to 1919 when hope mingled with uncertainty on the international stage. It reminds us that even amidst chaos and devastation, great minds can come together to create lasting change – a testament to humanity's resilience and capacity for progress.
