23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

From White to Bright - Witness the Magical Transformation of a Snowshoe Hare in Alaska's Brooks Range!

EDITORS COMMENTS
. In this print by Steven Kazlowski, we are transported to the enchanting world of the Arctic tundra. Meet our fluffy friend, the snowshoe hare, Lepus americanus, as it undergoes its incredible summer makeover on the south side of the majestic Brooks Range. As winter bids farewell and spring paints nature's canvas with vibrant hues, this adorable herbivore sheds its snowy coat for a more fashionable look. With each passing day under the midnight sun, its fur gradually morphs into a stunning blend of earthy browns and rusty reds. It's like witnessing Mother Nature herself playing dress-up! With ears perked up and eyes gleaming with curiosity, our furry protagonist strikes a pose against a backdrop of glistening white snow – an ode to its former self. This portrait captures not only an animal but also reflects how life adapts harmoniously to changing seasons in this untouched wilderness. Join us on this visual journey through Alaska's Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR), where public lands thrive with diverse wildlife such as hares hopping freely amidst breathtaking landscapes. Let Steve Kazlowski's lens transport you into their world – one filled with wonderment and awe-inspiring transformations that remind us all why protecting these habitats is crucial. So grab your hot cocoa and immerse yourself in this delightful snapshot that encapsulates both beauty and resilience!
