17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this iconic photograph captured by Colorsport Images, we are transported back to the thrilling 1973 FA Cup Final between Sunderland and Leeds United. The image freezes a moment that would forever be etched in football history - Jim Montgomery's legendary double save at Wembley. As the tension mounted on that fateful day, with both teams vying for glory, it was Montgomery who emerged as the hero of the match. With lightning reflexes and unwavering determination, he defied all odds and denied Leeds United not once but twice in quick succession. The intensity of the scene is palpable as Montgomery dives towards his left to block Peter Lorimer's powerful strike. But just when it seemed like fate had smiled upon him, another shot came thundering towards goal from Trevor Cherry. In an astonishing display of agility and athleticism, Montgomery somehow managed to parry away Cherry's effort with an outstretched arm. This remarkable double save became synonymous with courage under pressure and showcased Montgomery's exceptional skills as a goalkeeper. It encapsulated the essence of what makes football such a captivating sport - moments where ordinary individuals rise above themselves to achieve extraordinary feats. Colorsport Images has immortalized this unforgettable moment through their expertly printed photo. As we gaze upon it today, we cannot help but marvel at Jim Montgomery's indomitable spirit and relive one of English football's most cherished memories.
