17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print captures the Corinthian F. C. team group before their match against West Bromwich Albion in the 1931/32 football season. The players stand tall, exuding confidence and determination as they prepare to take on their opponents. In the back row, we see some notable figures of the Corinthian squad. Claude Thesiger Ashton, a true sportsman who excelled in football, hockey, and cricket during his time at Cambridge University. Tommy W. Whewell stands beside him, a seasoned player who not only captained Cambridge but also represented England Amateur side while playing for Blackburn and Charlton. The front row showcases Aubrey Howard Fabian, a multi-talented athlete who played both football and cricket for Cambridge University before making appearances for Fulham. George Thomas Ansell is also present; he had successful stints with Brighton, Norwich, Southampton alongside his Corinthian career. Edgar Donald Shearer's presence adds prestige to this line-up as he represented Great Britain at the 1936 Olympic Games in football and even played cricket for Ireland. Herbert Vyvian Benest completes this remarkable group; after his time with Corinthian F. C. , he served as Viscount of Jersey from 1946-74. It is worth noting that in 1939 Corinthians merged with Casuals to form Corinthian-Casuals Football Club (not affiliated with any commercial entity). This historical photograph was captured by Colorsport/Wilkes from Colorsport Images - an image that immortalizes these talented athletes forever.
