23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this photo print, we are transported back to the year 1955, where cricket history was being made. The Surrey County Cricket Club is captured in their full glory before a momentous game against Leicestershire at Grace Road, Leicester. Standing tall and proud at the back row are some of Surrey's finest players: Bernard Constable, Dennis Cox (12th man), Ronn Pratt, Tony Lock, Tom Clark, Mickey Stewart, David Fletcher, and J. Tait (masseur). Their determined expressions foreshadow the intensity that will soon unfold on the pitch. Seated in front of them is an iconic lineup that includes legends of the sport: Jim Laker, Peter May - both renowned for their exceptional skills with bat and ball - Stuart Surridge exuding leadership qualities as captain of the team. Alec Bedser stands beside him with his formidable presence while Arthur McIntyre takes his place behind the wicket as wicketkeeper. The image captures a sense of camaraderie amongst these talented individuals who have come together to represent Surrey C. C. C. , united by their shared passion for cricket. The vintage aesthetic adds a touch of nostalgia to this timeless moment frozen in time. This remarkable photograph from Colorsport Images serves as a testament to not only the rich sporting heritage but also showcases how sports can bring people together through teamwork and dedication towards achieving victory on that fateful day in May 1955.
