23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
Great image capturing the electrifying moment when Chelsea's legendary midfielder Gustavo Poyet scored his second goal against Sunderland in the FA Carling Premiership during the 1990s. The historic photograph, taken by the skilled lens of Adam Davy for Historic Images, immortalizes the elation and intensity of the game. Poyet, a Uruguayan international, had already netted the first goal in the 15th minute of the match, but his second goal, which came in the 72nd minute, proved to be the decisive one. With a cool and calculated finish, he sealed the victory for Chelsea, sending the Stamford Bridge crowd into a frenzy. The 1990s were a pivotal decade for Chelsea Football Club, and this double strike by Poyet is remembered as one of the most iconic moments from that era. The team, under the management of Glenn Hoddle, was making a name for itself in the English top-flight league, and moments like these helped solidify their position. The energy and passion in Poyet's celebration are palpable in this photograph. His jubilant expression, outstretched arms, and the sea of blue and white shirts in the background all serve to underscore the significance of this goal. This image not only encapsulates the excitement of the game but also the camaraderie and spirit of the Chelsea team during that time. As we look at this photograph, we are transported back to the 1990s and reminded of the thrill of football, the importance of teamwork, and the unforgettable moments that make the sport so beloved by fans around the world.
