17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
Great moment of excitement and jubilation as Stern John, Birmingham City's star striker, celebrates the team's hard-earned victory in the Nationwide League Division One playoff semi-final second leg against Millwall. The image, captured by renowned sports photographer Phil Walter, perfectly encapsulates the intensity and drama of the post-season football competition. The scene is set at St. Andrew's Trillion Trophy Stadium, home ground of Birmingham City, where the second leg of the playoff semi-final was played on May 2,2002. The first leg had ended in a goalless draw at The Den, Millwall's home ground, leaving both teams eager to secure a place in the final and a chance to compete for promotion to the Premier League. As the final whistle blew, Birmingham City's players and fans erupted in joy, knowing that their team had secured a narrow 1-0 victory on the night, thanks to Stern John's crucial goal in the 63rd minute. The Trillion Trophy, symbolizing the team's progression to the next round, was already in sight. Stern John, with an expression of pure elation, raises his arms in triumph, surrounded by his teammates who join in the celebration. The sea of blue and white shirts in the stands behind them reflects the unity and passion of the Birmingham City supporters. The atmosphere is electric, and the moment is one that will live long in the memory of both players and fans. This photograph is a testament to the thrill of football and the importance of every single game, especially in the high-pressure environment of the playoffs. It serves as a reminder of the unforgettable moments that unfold on the pitch and the emotions that come with them.
