23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print by Artie Photography showcases the mesmerizing sight of nature reclaiming its territory at the Beng Mealea Temple in Angkor, Cambodia. The image transports us to a time when this ancient Hindu temple, built during the 12th century under King Suryavarman II's reign, stood as a magnificent structure along the royal highway to Preah Khan Kompong Svay. The photograph captures an outer enclosure of the temple, where thick brush and towering trees have taken over what remains of walls and windows. The intricate details of Buddhist motifs carved into stone blocks are still visible amidst the encroaching roots and foliage. This unrestored site serves as a testament to both the engineering marvels of the Angkorian period and nature's unstoppable force. As we gaze upon this historical treasure being consumed by vegetation, we can't help but feel a sense of awe at how time has transformed it into an ethereal landscape. The juxtaposition between man-made structures and natural elements creates a striking visual contrast that speaks volumes about our ever-changing world. Artie Ng's photography skillfully captures this unique blend of history and nature, inviting viewers to contemplate not only Cambodia's rich cultural heritage but also humanity's place within it. Through his lens, he immortalizes moments like these that remind us of our connection to past civilizations while urging us to preserve their legacy for future generations.
