Martinelli Shines in Empty St. James Park: Arsenal's Victory Against Newcastle United (2020-21 Premier League)

NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE, ENGLAND - MAY 02: Gabriel Martinelli of Arsenal during the Premier League match between Newcastle United and Arsenal at St. James Park on May 02, 2021 in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. 17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this evocative photograph, taken by renowned sports photographer David Price, Gabriel Martinelli of Arsenal shines brightly in an otherwise empty St. James Park during the Premier League match against Newcastle United, on May 2, 2021. The image captures the surreal atmosphere of the game, with no fans in attendance due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and strict government social distancing laws. Martinelli, a young and promising Brazilian forward for Arsenal, is seen here in full focus, his determined expression and intense concentration evident as he prepares to take on the Newcastle United defense. The empty stands and eerie silence of the stadium create a stark contrast to the usual electric energy and passionate support that fills the venue during a live match. The 2020-21 Premier League season has been unlike any other, with stadiums closed to spectators and teams playing in empty arenas. This photograph serves as a poignant reminder of the unique challenges faced by the football community during these unprecedented times. Despite the lack of fans, Martinelli and his teammates continue to give their all on the pitch, showcasing their skill, determination, and passion for the beautiful game. The image also highlights the resilience and adaptability of the sport, with players and teams continuing to compete and deliver thrilling matches under challenging circumstances. As we look forward to a return to normalcy and the eventual reopening of stadiums, this photograph stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of football and the unwavering commitment of its players and fans.
