17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print captures a crucial moment during the Submarine Parachute Assistance Group (SPAG) insertion on April 12,2007. The image showcases the highly skilled SPAG team deploying by aircraft and swiftly setting up a floating casualty reception center. As they spring into action, they begin treating simulated casualties who are escaping from a distressed submarine. The SPAG is renowned for their extensive training in long-range insertions by Hercules aircraft to provide aid to submariners facing perilous situations. However, during Exercise Pacific Reach 07, this particular insertion was simulated using helicopters from the Royal Australian Navy's Fleet Base West. Exercise Pacific Reach is an essential triennial event that focuses on fostering regional cooperation in submarine rescue operations while demonstrating the interoperability of submarine rescue and diving techniques within the Asia-Pacific region. This remarkable photograph not only highlights the bravery and expertise of the SPAG team but also serves as a testament to their commitment towards promoting safety and collaboration among naval forces. It encapsulates both the intensity of military exercises and the importance of international partnerships in ensuring effective submarine rescue missions. Photographed by LA (Phot) Luis Holden, this image has been recognized as part of various prestigious competitions such as Peregrine Trophy 2008 and Royal Navy Photographic Competition.
