31"x27" (79x69cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 24x20 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 31x27 inches (787x685mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

Nature's Tapestry - Where Gorillas and Green Fields Meet

EDITORS COMMENTS
. In this aerial print, the vibrant patchwork of Africa's Virunga National Park unfolds before our eyes. The boundaries of the park intertwine with lush agricultural lands, creating a mesmerizing contrast between human activity and untouched wilderness. It is within these very borders that the majestic Mountain Gorillas find their sanctuary. The Virunga Volcanoes stand tall in the backdrop, reminding us of the volcanic forces that have shaped this extraordinary landscape over time. As we gaze upon this snapshot from 2003, we are transported to a world where nature's beauty collides with man's need for sustenance. The intricate patterns and textures formed by fields and farmlands tell a story of both harmony and encroachment. While agriculture provides livelihoods for local communities, it also poses challenges to delicate ecosystems. The lines etched across the land reveal not only human ingenuity but also hint at environmental damage caused by deforestation and intensive farming practices. Yet amidst these complexities lies hope – hope that through responsible stewardship, we can strike a balance between progress and preservation. This photo serves as a reminder of our collective duty to protect national parks like Virunga, ensuring they remain havens for endangered species such as gorillas while sustaining vital resources for generations to come. So let your imagination take flight as you immerse yourself in this breathtaking image - an ode to Rwanda's natural wonders and an invitation to appreciate Earth's awe-inspiring diversity.
