23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

Caught in the Web of Intrigue - The Garden Cross Spider Strikes Again!

EDITORS COMMENTS
. In this snapshot, we witness nature's very own master architect at work - the elusive Garden Cross Spider. With its intricate orb-web delicately woven between lush foliage, this arachnid artist has created a mesmerizing masterpiece that doubles as a deadly trap. But wait! What do we have here? Suspended beneath the web's gossamer threads is an unfortunate prey, tightly wrapped and destined to become dinner for our eight-legged predator. The Garden Cross Spider, scientifically known as Araneus diadematus, showcases its hunting prowess with pride. This wildlife encounter reminds us of the delicate balance between life and death in the animal kingdom. As one creature becomes trapped in the spider's cunning cobweb, another fulfills its role as nature's ultimate predator. Found throughout Europe and hailed as a symbol of unity within their single species community, these elegant spiders are both feared and admired for their stealthy hunting techniques. Their behavior serves as a reminder that even amidst serene garden landscapes, danger lurks just beneath our feet. So next time you venture into your backyard oasis or stumble upon an enchanting cobweb-covered corner of nature – keep your eyes peeled for these skilled hunters. But be warned: once caught in their web of intrigue, you may find yourself captivated by their fascinating world forevermore!
