South Africa Warthog Warthogs Wild Pigs

23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

Warthog's Wild Run - A Piggy Marathon in the African Savanna!

EDITORS COMMENTS
. In this snapshot captured by John Cancalosi, we witness the incredible agility and speed of CAN-2674, a lively Common Warthog. Living in open and arid regions of central and southern Africa, these wild pigs are known for their remarkable tolerance to scorching heat and drought. However, even with their impressive resilience, these warthogs still seek refuge from extreme temperatures and predators. They cleverly rely on natural shelters or self-dug burrows to escape the harsh elements. Interestingly enough, they owe their high population densities to an unexpected ally - abundant aardvark holes! But what truly steals the show is CAN-2674's unique facial feature - its "warts". These three paired masses of thickened skin and connective tissue serve as armor protecting its jaws, eyes, and muzzle during daring adventures through the wilderness. Caught mid-action by Cancalosi's lens, our spirited warthog friend showcases its lightning-fast running skills. With determination etched across its face (and warts), it dashes through the grasslands like a true champion athlete. This extraordinary photograph reminds us that nature holds endless surprises; even seemingly ordinary creatures like warthogs possess remarkable qualities worth celebrating. So next time you spot one of these charismatic mammals on your safari adventure in South Africa or anywhere else in Africa – be prepared for some awe-inspiring piggy acrobatics!
