17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print captures a breathtaking view of the hills, with the magnificent Sanctuary of the Madonna di Viatosti standing proudly in Asti. The foreground is adorned with lush vineyards and charming houses, creating a picturesque scene that transports us back to medieval Europe. The sanctuary itself is a true marvel of Gothic architecture, showcasing intricate details and grandeur that are characteristic of this era. Its towering spires reach towards the heavens, serving as a beacon of faith for centuries. As we gaze upon this sacred structure, we can't help but feel its profound religious significance. The photograph was taken in 1957 by Alinari, Fratelli; however, it beautifully captures an artwork dating back to 1340-1350. This juxtaposition reminds us of the enduring power and timelessness of art throughout history. Steeped in Christian tradition and symbolism, this sanctuary has witnessed countless prayers and pilgrimages over the years. It stands as a testament to human devotion and serves as a reminder of our connection to something greater than ourselves. As we delve into the image's rich details - from rolling hills to meticulously cultivated vineyards - we are transported not only through space but also through time. We catch glimpses into both past eras: one captured by Alinari's lens in mid-20th century Italy and another represented by an awe-inspiring masterpiece from centuries ago. This print invites us on a journey where spirituality intertwines with natural beauty – where ancient structures harmonize with their surroundings. It serves as a window into history while evoking feelings of wonderment at mankind's ability to create such enduring works that transcend generations.
