17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print transports us back in time to the enchanting city of Ancona, where the Venetian-gothic portal of St. Augustine's Church stands as a testament to the artistic brilliance of Giorgio Orsini and Michele di Giovanni da Milano. The intricate details of this architectural masterpiece are beautifully captured by Brogi's lens, showcasing the delicate craftsmanship that went into its creation during the late Gothic period. The imposing doorway, adorned with ornate carvings and exquisite sculptures, serves as a gateway between past and present. As we gaze upon this photograph, we can almost feel the weight of history surrounding us. The church itself dates back to the Middle Ages, bearing witness to centuries of religious devotion and cultural evolution in Europe. In this image, we see elements from both the first and second millennium A. D. , reminding us that art is not bound by time but rather transcends it. The figures depicted on the portal include saints such as Nicholas and Augustine, representing Christian religion at its core. Through this photo print, Alinari allows us to appreciate not only the beauty of this particular artwork but also its significance within a broader historical context. It serves as a visual reminder that our world today has been shaped by countless generations who came before us. Let this remarkable piece transport you to an era long gone yet forever preserved through photography—a timeless tribute to human creativity and ingenuity.
