23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

AVQ-A-000048-0034 - A Glimpse into the Proud History of the 33 Infantry

EDITORS COMMENTS
. Step back in time with this postcard print, commemorating the esteemed 33 Infantry Regiment. Captured between 1900 and 1910, this historical artifact takes us to Curtatone, Italy, where the ancestors of this renowned regiment once stood tall. Illustrated by Quinto Cenni (1845-1917), a master artist of his time, this artwork dates back to 1899. Cenni's attention to detail is evident in every stroke as he brings forth an image that encapsulates strength and valor. The print showcases not only architectural beauty but also represents armed forces and military life at its core. With a soldier holding a rifle adorned with military equipment including a bayonet, it highlights the dedication and commitment required for such vocation. The uniform worn by the soldier reflects both fashion and functionality. The intricate details on their headdress add an air of authority while emphasizing their role within society and politics during that era. Intriguingly, amidst all these elements lies an emblem - a crest representing battle-hardened warriors who have faced aggression head-on. It serves as a reminder of their unwavering courage even in times of adversity. As we gaze upon this remarkable piece from Alinari's collection, we are transported back in time to witness not just a physical rapport but also feel the fire burning within each soldier's heart – soldiers who fought valiantly for their country under the banner of the 33 Infantry Regiment. This print is more than just art; it is an ode to those brave souls who dedicated themselves selflessly for something greater than themselves – protecting our nation's honor.
