FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases the magnificent façade of the Basilica of St. Andrew in Vercelli, located in the picturesque region of Piemonte, Italy. The photograph, taken between 1915-1920 by Alinari Fratelli, beautifully captures the essence of this Gothic masterpiece that dates back to 1219-1227. The grandeur and intricate details of this architectural marvel are evident as one gazes upon its imposing structure. The portal stands proudly at the center, adorned with elaborate decorations and sections that speak volumes about the craftsmanship of its creators. Above it, a mesmerizing rose window adds an ethereal touch to the overall design. Tall spires and towers reach towards the sky, adding verticality to this urban structure that has stood witness to centuries gone by. A small loggia provides a charming spot for contemplation amidst such grandeur while lunettes and buttresses add depth and dimensionality to every corner. The square surrounding this basilica serves as a testament to its historical significance throughout Europe's first and second millenniums AD. Each element within its walls tells a story - from two-light windows casting gentle rays into sacred spaces, string courses dividing different levels with precision, three-light windows illuminating vast interiors with gracefulness down to single light windows offering glimpses into hidden chambers. As we admire this remarkable piece captured by Alinari Fratelli's lens over a century ago, we can't help but be transported back in time - where Gothic architecture reigned supreme across Europe's landscapes. This photograph is not just an image frozen in time; it is a visual gateway inviting us to explore history through artistry and appreciate mankind's ability to create enduring masterpieces like the Basilica of St. Andrew in Vercelli.
