17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print captures the exquisite detail of the face of the goddess in Sandro Botticelli's renowned masterpiece, "Birth of Venus". Displayed at the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, this painting is a testament to the artistic brilliance of the Early Renaissance period. Created by Botticelli in 1485, this artwork beautifully combines elements from various styles and periods, including Renaissance and Renaissance-Baroque. It represents Europe's rich cultural heritage during both the first and second millenniums A. D. , showcasing its evolution through time. The artist skillfully portrays Venus emerging from sea foam on a seashell, surrounded by allegorical figures representing wind. The abstract concept and symbol of birth are vividly depicted through her flowing hair and delicate facial features. As a nude female figure embodying divinity, she personifies beauty and grace. Botticelli draws inspiration from mythology to bring forth this iconic portrait. The goddess Aphrodite (also known as Venus) is elegantly portrayed with an ethereal aura that captivates viewers. Her presence amidst flora adds to her allure while animals such as mollusks and scallops symbolize fertility. The fashion and clothing showcased here reflect the period's distinctive style associated with renaissance costumes. This harmoniously blends with a breathtaking landscape seascape backdrop that enhances the overall composition. This photograph was taken in 2002 by Alinari Fratelli, capturing every intricate detail meticulously painted by Botticelli over five centuries ago. Through this image, we can appreciate not only his technical mastery but also his ability to convey complex concepts within a single frame. As we gaze upon this mesmerizing print, we are transported back in time to witness one of art history's most celebrated works – an enduring testament to human creativity throughout different eras.
