Acteur Cinema Photo Noir Et Blanc Portrait Square Vertical

17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print captures the essence of Kirk Douglas, one of Hollywood's most iconic actors. In this undated picture, we witness a young Douglas in one of his first movies, showcasing the talent that would later make him a legend. Born in Amsterdam, New York, Douglas began his journey to stardom on Broadway in 1941 before serving in the US Navy. His screen career took off in 1946, leading him to deliver memorable performances throughout the years. From portraying a determined boxer in "Champion" (1949) to an ambitious film producer in "The Bad and the Beautiful" (1952), Douglas proved his versatility as an actor. However, it was his portrayal of Vincent van Gogh in "Lust for Life" (1956) that earned him a nomination at the prestigious US Academy Awards. Yet it was perhaps his role as Spartacus in Stanley Kubrick's epic film released in 1960 that truly solidified his status as a cinematic icon. Not content with just acting, Douglas ventured into directing during the 1970s while continuing to captivate audiences with powerful performances on-screen. In recognition of his immense contributions to cinema over five decades, he received an honorary Oscar from the motion picture community in 1996. This square and vertical portrait showcases not only Kirk Douglas' undeniable charisma but also highlights how he became both a creative and moral force within Hollywood. It serves as a timeless tribute to an extraordinary actor who left an
