Poster Prints are of comparable archival quality to our Photographic prints, they are simply printed on thinner Poster Paper. EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases the impressive display at the US Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama. Situated on land that was once part of Redstone Arsenal, this center has been a hub for space exploration since its opening in 1970. The photograph, taken in 2010, captures an array of rockets from different eras. From left to right, we see a Hermes A-1 rocket, used during World War II by Germany as a guided missile. Next is the iconic V2 missile, another German creation from WWII. Following these historical artifacts are two American missiles: the Jupiter I ballistic missile (used by the US Air Force between 1956 and 1961) and the Redstone ballistic missile (employed by the US Army from 1958 to 1964). The towering presence of a Saturn I launch vehicle stands tall among its counterparts. This colossal rocket reached heights of up to 55 meters and played a crucial role in NASA's Apollo program starting in 1961. Lastly, we have the Juno-1 launch vehicle which successfully launched Explorer 1 satellite into space back in 1958. This extraordinary exhibition offers visitors an opportunity to compare and appreciate technological advancements throughout history while highlighting significant milestones achieved during both world wars and America's ambitious space race era. It serves as a reminder of humanity's relentless pursuit of knowledge and exploration beyond Earth's boundaries.
