This artwork captures the intricate penetration of various laser beams into human skin, showcasing their distinct applications in medicine. The print showcases a section of human skin, highlighting the relative degree of penetration by three types of lasers. On the left side, we see the vibrant green argon laser delicately penetrating through the epidermis, which is the upper layer of purple-toned skin. This particular laser is utilized to seal dilated blood vessels that form haemangiomas, providing an effective treatment for these vascular abnormalities. In the center, we observe an orange tunable dye laser that does not penetrate through the epidermis.
