In this poignant moment captured at the Madejski Stadium, the anguish and disappointment on the face of Kevin Doyle are palpable as the ball bounces away from the goal post, denying the Reading FC striker and his team a much-needed equalizer against Chelsea. The score was 1-0 in favor of the visiting team, and the tension in the air was thick as the home crowd held their breath, hoping against hope that Doyle's shot would find the back of the net. The Irish international had been a thorn in the side of Chelsea's defense all game long, creating numerous opportunities for his teammates and coming close to scoring several times.
