East Coast Craft - Visit Lincolnshire, LNER poster, 1923-1947 (London & North Eastern Railway poster showing North Sea trawlers. The fishing grounds of the North Sea, Arctic, etc are covered by these boats from Hull, Grimsby and Aberdeen. Artwork by Frank Mason (1876-1965)) This vintage print transports us back to a time when the bustling harbours along the East Coast of England were teeming with life and trade. The artwork showcases a fleet of majestic North Sea trawlers sailing through turbulent waters in search of their bountiful catch. The poster serves as a testament to the vital role played by these hardworking vessels from Hull, Grimsby, and Aberdeen in sustaining Europe's fishing industry during this era. With their sturdy frames and skilled crews braving treacherous conditions at sea, they ventured into far-flung territories such as the Arctic to secure precious resources for our tables.
