A miniature of Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon by Mabel Hankey in a finely wrought frame of gold and silver, a wedding gift to Prince Albert, Duke of York from his future mother-in-law, Lady Strathmore. The frame, set with sapphires and surmounted with a jewelled crown was the work of Messrs Catchpole and Williams, the Oxford Street jewellers. Mabel Hankey was the wife of British painter William Lee Hankey. Date: 1923
