The depicted scene on the altar's south frieze is known as the Gigantomachy, a mythological battle between the Olympian gods and the Giants. In this fragment, we witness the fierce struggle between Hecate, the three-faceted goddess of magic, crossroads, and the night, and the giant Klytios.
