Poster Prints are of comparable archival quality to our Photographic prints, they are simply printed on thinner Poster Paper. Whilst we only use Photographic Prints in our frames, you can frame Poster Prints if they are carefully supported to prevent sagging over time.

Poster prints are budget friendly enlarged prints in standard poster paper sizes (A0, A1, A2, A3 etc). Whilst poster paper is sometimes thinner and less durable than our other paper types, they are still ok for framing and should last many years. EDITORS COMMENTS
This stunning print captures the beauty and fragility of two magnificent butterfly species, the King swallowtail (Papilio thoas) and the Jamaican kite swallowtail (Protographium marcellinus). Both species are endangered, making this handcoloured lithograph from 1837 all the more precious. The intricate details of these butterflies' wings are brought to life in vibrant colors, showcasing their unique patterns and markings. The King swallowtail's regal presence is evident in its striking appearance, while the Jamaican kite swallowtail exudes a sense of delicate grace. Created by John O. Westwood for Dru Drury's Illustrations of Exotic Entomology, this print serves as a reminder of the diverse and wondrous world of insects that existed in the 19th century. The meticulous attention to detail in capturing these creatures on paper speaks to a deep appreciation for nature's wonders. As we admire this piece of artistry today, we are reminded of our responsibility to protect and preserve endangered species like these beautiful butterflies. Let us cherish and celebrate their existence, ensuring that future generations can also marvel at their splendor in the wild.
