EDITORS COMMENTS
This photograph from the Liszt Collection transports us to the snowy landscapes of Canada in 1876. The image showcases a majestic Snowy Owl, also known as a White Owl, perched on a branch. Its piercing yellow eyes stare directly into the camera lens, exuding an air of wisdom and mystery. The photographer behind this stunning piece is William Notman, a Canadian artist born in Scotland in 1826. Known for his exceptional talent in capturing nature's beauty through his lens, Notman perfectly portrays the regal essence of this male Snowy Owl.
