This print titled "Sioux at Fort Laramie, 1837" takes us back in time to the early days of the American frontier. The image showcases a group of Oglala Sioux Native Americans encamped inside the trading post at Fort William, near what would later become Fort Laramie in Wyoming. Painted with watercolors by Alfred Jacob Miller between 1858 and 1860, this artwork beautifully captures the essence of this historical moment.
