The death of Camilla, a scene from " Stories From Virgil" by the Reverend Alfred J. Church, M.A. with illustrations from the designs of BartolomeoPinelli(1781 - 1835). Published by Seeley, Jackson & Halliday, London, in 1879. After the Trojan War, Camilla, daughter of King Metabus and Casmilla, joins with the army of Turnus to fight against Aeneas. The son of Aunus has challenged Camilla to fight on foot instead of horseback. She is killed by Arruns, a Trojan ally, on the battlefield and her female servant, the Nereid Opis, avenges Camillas death by killing Arruns
