This print showcases one of Dali's celebrated pagodas, which forms part of the magnificent San Ta complex that towers over the old quarter. Dating back to the 9th century, this architectural marvel stands tall at nearly 70 meters, exuding a sense of grandeur and history. The pagoda's traditional Chinese design elements are beautifully captured in this image. For many years, the secrets held within these ancient walls remained hidden from prying eyes. However, in 1979, during renovations, a remarkable discovery was made – a trove of exquisite ornaments and decorations were uncovered. These newfound treasures shed light on the rich cultural heritage embedded within every inch of this awe-inspiring structure.
