The image showcases the players and officials before their game at The Hawthorns on October 7th, 1914. Standing tall at the back are notable figures such as A. A. Jackson (referee), Thomas Chambers, R. Nixon from Linfield, J. H. Adams (President), Sammy Burmison representing both Distillery and Bradford Park Avenue, J. Grant Esq. , Walter Scott from Shelbourne, Paddy McCann playing for Belfast Celtic and Glentoran, Doctor Gray, J. Ferguson (IFA Secretary), A. Totton and Mr Mchaffey. Seated in front are Torrans (trainer), Johnny McDonnell from Bohemians, Robert McCracken who played for Belfast Distillery as well as Crystal Palace and Portadown later on, George Kay serving as captain for Distillery at that time period, Billy Emerson who represented Glentoran along with Burnley and Linfield, D. McNeill who played for both Linfield and Distillery. The ground is occupied by David Davy Lyner hailing from Glentoran but also having stints with Manchester United, Kilmarnock, and New Brighton; McEwan representing Linfield; Ferrett donning the colors of Glentoran.
