The First Day of Spring... And All Set For Summer. Spring sprung on Sunday (21-3-71)
The First Day of Spring... And All Set For Summer. Spring sprung on Sunday (21-3-71).. Officially, anyway. Andout popped these dollies-all ready for summer. Ruth Dumer, left, and Maureen Lynn braved the chilly London air to show off these creations by Alistair Cowin. They are part of his 1971 High Summer Beach - Fun - wear collection. The outfits ware inspired by Luchine Viscontis film, " Death in Venice, " set in the Edwerdian era. Hence Ruths striped jersey playsuit and Maureens cotton beach outfit. Roll on Summer.
