George Alfred Hills outside his butchers shop, Worthing, c1905
Shows George Hills, together with an assistant butcher and three butchers boys with their trade bikes outside the shop in South Farm Road. George Alfred Hills was born on 23 December 1866 in West Tarring, the son of Thomas Hills and Elizabeth, nee Penfold. He was often known as George Albert in later life. He died on 15 June 1920 in Hampstead General Hospital, London after he collided with a lorry whilst riding his motorcycle.
