EDITORS COMMENTS
This print from March 1988 takes us back to the vibrant era of Bros. , an iconic English band that left an indelible mark on the music scene. Captured in Tyne Tees, North East England, this snapshot showcases the trio's undeniable charm and camaraderie. From left to right, we see Luke Goss, Matt Goss, and Craig Logan exuding youthful energy and style. These talented individuals formed Bros. in 1986 while attending Collingwood School in Camberley, Surrey. Their unique blend of pop music quickly garnered chart success and a devoted teenage fanbase. Songs like "When Will I Be Famous" and "I Owe You Nothing" catapulted them into stardom during 1988. However, shortly after this photo was taken, Craig Logan made the difficult decision to leave the band early next year. Undeterred by their friend's departure, Matt and Luke continued as a duo. Over time, Bros. ' popularity waned but not before releasing two more albums before ultimately parting ways in 1992. However, their enduring impact led them to reunite for a TV documentary in 2018 and even perform live again in 2019—proof of their lasting legacy. Preserved through Tom Buist's lens on March 8th, 1988—this picture encapsulates a moment frozen in time—a testament to Bros. ' meteoric rise as well as their unwavering bond amidst fame's tumultuous journey. Memory Lane Prints allows us to relish these nostalgic moments once more without commercial intent—the chance for fans old and new alike to reminisce about one of Britain's most influential bands from yesteryears.
