This little kitten didn t get off to a very good start in life

This little kitten didn t get off to a very good start in life. He was only one or two days old when be was found, wandering alone in a car park at St. Albans, Hertfordshire. The woman who found him took him to a vet who suggested taking him to a hearby cattery run by actress Carman Dene. Carmen, who breeds show cats and also has a holiday home for felines, took the little chap in. Every two hours, night and day, the kitten was fed, although he was not really expected to survive. But peraistence paid off and now Harvey - named after the woman that found him - is two weaks old and, as our picture shows, has developed a healthy fat tummy... and a big thirst. May 1974 P011946

EDITORS COMMENTS
This heartwarming print captures the incredible journey of a tiny kitten who defied all odds. Abandoned and alone at just one or two days old, this little feline was discovered in a desolate car park in St. Albans, Hertfordshire. A kind-hearted woman stumbled upon him and immediately rushed him to a nearby vet. With slim chances of survival, the vet recommended taking the fragile creature to Carmen Dene's cattery. Carmen, an actress known for breeding show cats and providing shelter for furry friends on vacation, welcomed the helpless kitten into her care. Against all expectations, Harvey – aptly named after his rescuer – fought bravely for his life under Carmen's watchful eye. Around-the-clock care became their routine as Harvey was fed every two hours without fail. Gradually but surely, he began to thrive. Now at two weeks old, our picture reveals Harvey's remarkable transformation; his once frail body now boasts a healthy plump tummy and an insatiable thirst for life. This adorable snapshot showcases not only the resilience of this precious kitten but also serves as a reminder of compassion triumphing over adversity. Dated May 1974, this timeless image encapsulates the enduring bond between humans and animals while capturing a moment that will forever warm hearts.
