EDITORS COMMENTS
This print transports us back to the golden age of cinema. The image showcases the magnificent Cinema organ BB87_02757, nestled within the interior of the Odeon Cinema on Haverstock Hill in Hampstead, London. Designed by T P Bennett & Son and unveiled on 29 September 1934, this iconic venue was a true flagship of its time. What makes this particular organ even more special is its rarity for that era. By 1934, cinema organs were becoming increasingly uncommon, but Haverstock Hill's status as a premier establishment warranted the inclusion of a Compton organ.
