Due to a landslide of vast proportions, Craco in 1963 the town was evacuated and moved to the valley in Craco Peschiera. Then the center had more than 2, 000 inhabitants. The landslide, which forced the population to flee their homes seems to have been caused by works of infrastructure, sewer and water systems, serving the town
