Built in August 1929 by the Great Western Railway (GWR), this 4-6-0 locomotive was part of a large fleet of engines designed by the legendary engineer, Charles Collett. With a top speed of 75 miles per hour, these engines were among the fastest in the GWR fleet. Peplow Hall, named after Peplow Hall Manor in Shropshire, was one of 288 Hall Class locomotives built between 1928 and 1932.
