Berry Brow Infant and Nursery School found there was a doctor in the house when they

Berry Brow Infant and Nursery School found there was a doctor in the house when they performed a nativity play with a difference. The play features a Dr Who-style character in a modern day version of the nativity tale which sees the good doctor and his Tardis visiting the school. Seen rehersing their parts for Dr What and the Berry Brow Flyer are (from left) Amy Hirst, Dianne Clements, Mark Hoddinott, Rebekah Njoku and Marcus Kenchington. Every pupil took part in the play - some 150 children - and put on two performances to over 200 parents. Next Wednesday they will stage the play for elderly people of the area. 10th December 1986

EDITORS COMMENTS
Berry Brow Infant and Nursery School takes a creative twist on the classic nativity play, transporting us into a modern-day version with a touch of Doctor Who magic. The school's talented students brought the story to life with their vibrant costumes and enthusiastic performances. Among them, we find our very own Dr What, resembling the iconic Time Lord from the beloved TV series. In this unique adaptation, Dr What and his Tardis make an unexpected visit to the school, adding an exciting sci-fi element to the traditional tale. As seen in this heartwarming photo print, Amy Hirst, Dianne Clements, Mark Hoddinott, Rebekah Njoku, and Marcus Kenchington rehearse their roles as they prepare to captivate audiences with their stellar acting skills. The entire student body of 150 children participated in this extraordinary production that delighted over 200 parents during two remarkable performances. However, their dedication does not stop there; next week they will share their joyous rendition with elderly members of our community. This snapshot captures a moment filled with creativity and imagination that transcends time itself. It reminds us of the power of tradition while embracing new possibilities for storytelling. Berry Brow Infant and Nursery School has truly created something special by merging cherished holiday customs with elements from one of television's most iconic characters.
