Known for his long, curly wig and star-shaped cufflinks, Chesterfield was a prominent figure in 18th-century British politics and society. Born into the noble Stanhope family, he rose to prominence under the patronage of Queen Anne and served as her Postmaster General. Later, he became a key advisor to King George II.
