The image showcases Rome as it is symbolically crowned by the personification of fame, known as Fama in Roman mythology. The focal point of this artwork lies on a beautifully decorated pedestal adorned with garlands of fruit and foliage. Atop this pedestal stands Rome herself, her foot resting upon the city's emblematic she-wolf suckling Romulus and Remus. This allegorical representation signifies the founding myth of Rome.
