This print showcases an exquisite illustration from The Book of Simple Medicines by Mattheaus Platearius, dating back to the 15th century. The image, found on folio 121r of Ms Fr. In this intricate artwork created by Robinet Testard, we are introduced to a quartet of medicinal plants: Calamint, Crocus, Carraway, and Citusa.
